There are three primary ways you can sign up to get communications.
Must have a currently enrolled student in District 7
**If you only sign up for one method of communications, this is it.** This is run by District 7 and its employees. NOT the booster board. This is the primary way the Directors will communicate with current families about what is coming up. Schedule, performances, trips, etc. Mrs. Norfleet sends out a weekly Sunday Morning message that includes everything you need to know for that week in Band. It will be the MOST up-to-date information you can get. Sometimes the Boosters will include a Booster Blast.
Must have a currently enrolled student in the GPHS Band and Guard Program (or be a directly involved family member ex: grandparent)
This is your secondary method of communication. This is run by the Booster Board. We do not communicate class specific information, but this is where you will find out all the details you need to know on how we support our students. Things like opportunities to get involved. How you can support your student. Parent groups that travel to competitions. Signing up to be a chaperone. Fundraising opportunities and more. This App is made up of ONLY current families in the program. So if we need to send out notices of when to expect your child home from a trip at 2am, this is where we will send it.
Facebook Community Group:
Open to students, families, alumni, and community members supporting the GPHS Band and Guard Program
This is a fun method to get connected. It is a Community Group that is made up of students, families, alumni, and community members and supporters. This is where you will find general blasts about what is happening. Where parents can share photos, videos, and competition updates (such as scores). It is a community group open to the public. So we will not share sensitive information on this platform.
