SPRING PARENT MEETING

Welcome families!

With the new season upon us, the directors are asking that everyone complete the 2023-2024 Commitment Form  to reserve your student's spot in the 2023 show.

If you have any questions regarding the Commitment Form or the required $50 deposit, please email Mrs. Norfleet at nnorfleet@grantspass.k12.or.us.

Grants Pass High School requires you to register your student on Family ID. Family ID is a program  our district has implemented to use for all sports and most activities.

Family ID is a  secure registration platform that provides you with an easy, user-friendly way to register for programs, and helps us to be more administratively efficient and environmentally responsible. When you register through Family ID, the system keeps track of your information in  your Family ID profile. You enter your information only once for each family member for multiple uses and  multiple programs.

If you already have a Family ID account:

All of your information from the previous registration is saved to your  profile. You and your student need to re-read and re-sign the Medical Consent Form and the GPHS and/or OSAA  Code of Conduct for every season, including summer activities, with your electronic signature.

Registration Process for people new to Family ID:

It will be helpful to have the following information handy to allow for accurate completion of your online  registration:

Doctor Information |  Health Insurance Information |  Emergency Contact Information

VOLUNTEER

The Band Boosters are a dedicated group of people who volunteer their time and talent to ensure the success of each band and color guard student of G.P.H.S.  We are here to support the needs of our organization providing vital support to all aspects of the program.  We serve as your communication liaison, offer fundraising opportunities, coordinate volunteers, build and maintain props, manage uniform fittings, host events and so much more. The success of these events cannot happen without the support of individuals throughout our program.

Please email president@gphsband.org if you are interested in volunteering with our organization.

A board member will be in touch with you as needs arise.

FUNDRAISING

Fundraising is a vital component to the success of our organization. Our fundraising efforts help support the needs of our organization as well as provide individual fundraising opportunities for our  students to help pay for season fees and travel. For example, based on our current budget, the G.P.H.S. Band Boosters provides support for the Fall Marching Band Season, Instruments, Scholarships, Winter Programs, Uniform Repairs, host Events & Clinics, etc.

We also are responsible for offering fundraisers that students can take advantage of to help families pay for band fees as well as any expenses associated with band travel. Remember, your Band Fees cover expenses directly related to your band program like  Drill Design, Music Arrangement, Copyright, Props, Band Staff/Techs, Equipment/Instrument Needs, Entry Fees, and Concert Season expenses.
